This piece was inspired by a period of young turmoil that I experienced long ago. My brother, then young and ignorant, performed one of those creepy mirror challenges in my room. But as someone who believes that darkness is no joke even from a young age, this traumatized me. That day marked a shift, sparking an enduring fear that my reflection could one day turn on me. This piece reflects that fear: an image of reaching toward my mirror and being met with a reflection I can’t trust.
