Dreamtober Collection: This limited-edition artwork is part of my Dreamtober series—a daily art challenge exploring unique themes each day throughout October.
This piece draws from a transformative nightmare where I found myself subconsciously calling on my Grandma for help. In the dream, I was in a foggy twilight forest, accompanied by a young woman who seemed friendly but gradually took on a menacing presence. Her eyes turned snake-like, and she began trading our souls, trapping me in darkness. I instinctually cry out for Grandma over and over and she sends me a powerful light that casts the darkness out with every beam. The nightmare ended, but upon waking, I learned my grandad had suddenly passed while I slept. There was something about that nightmare that was connected but also it made me feel protected.
